27ieme edition of « Ecrans Noirs » under the theme : « The Cinema in Africa still an evening school ? »

Yaounde, 14 September 2023 ( CAPnews) – The announcement was made this September 14 during a press briefing held in Yaoundé. This festival will have for honour guest country the Republic of Senegal conducted by Minister of Culture of Senegal and some film Producers. This tribute to the director of the first African Movie Ousmane Sembene will include a retrospective of his artwork, followed by a colloquial around his life , his work, his
commitments, this colloque will be dedicated to him from 16 to 18 October 2023. Beyond this tribute another emblematic figures of the 7ieme art will be made to Franco Cameroonian filmmaker Claire Denis by giving him a screen of honor and planning a retrospective of her films.

Note that it is from October 14 to 21, 2023 that this 27ieme edition under the theme : « The Cinema in Africa still an evening school ? » the official opening ceremony, The red carpet and closing will be held at the palace of the congress in Yaounde, the festival village as for him is scheduled at the National Museum esplanade.
