Fire outbreak at the Moghamo agency in Bamenda

Bamenda, 28th july 2023 (CAPnews) – Moghamo, one of Cameroon’s Famous Agency known for travelling from Bamenda chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon to other parts of the country, notably Douala and Yaoundé has gone down in Flames this Friday 28th July 2023. The fire broke out at around 3: 00PM, burning down the whole building. One bus burnt and a lot of property loss has equally been recorded. No dead or injured casualties have been registered. Eye witnesses report that for now, the cause of the fire still remains a mystery.

Elements of the Cameroon Gendarmerie corp were visible on the scene, trying to keep the furious mob at a safe distance while the fire fighting brigade put out the fire.

It is important to note that this fire outbreak comes at a time when a three days town lock down, commonly referred to by natives of the North West and South West Regions as « Ghost town » has been declared in all the divisions of the region, by self styled « Amazonian fighters ». The lock down comes as a result of the ongoing burial rites of the late Ni John Fru Ndi, president of the Social Democratic Front ( SDF) party in the region.
